Kody Malmborg | Coach
License: Colorado League Level 2
About: Kody recently found a passion for riding bikes over the past 5 years and can’t get enough. Once his wife, Jen, introduced him to the WyoX team and started coaching herself, it was only a matter of time before he saw how valuable the sport of mountain biking is to youth development and wanted to get involved. Whether racing or just out riding for fun, bikes have become a passion for Kody and he is eager to share that passion through NICA & WyoX.
Jeremiah Rieman | Coach
License: Colorado League Level 2
About: Although a family of little means, Jerimiah’s parents fostered his love of riding, starting with a “Big Wheel” tricycle and later a bicycle local missionaries built from mismatched pieces and parts - narrow mountain bike handlebars, oversized road bike frame. Jerimiah is the author of “Wyoming Singletrack - A Mountain Bike Trail Guide” and enjoys sharing his mountain bike passion with youth, including his identical twin boys who are team members.
Josiah Trujillo | Coach
License: Colorado League Level 1
About: Josiah was born and raised with a deep love for the outdoors, making nature an integral part of his daily life. He believes that mountain biking is one of the best ways to connect with the outdoors while burning off some extra energy. Whether it’s tackling challenging climbs or simply soaking in the breathtaking views, Josiah finds peace and joy in the ride. His professional experiences have taught him the valuable lesson that life is unpredictable and can change in an instant. That’s why he encourages everyone to grab their bike, hiking gear, or any outdoor equipment, and head to the hills—because the great outdoors is a gift that should be enjoyed every chance you get.
Steve Truesdale | Coach
License: Colorado League Level 1
About: Steve’s passion for mountain biking began when he realized how much it aligned with his love for both physical and mental challenges. Watching his kids race and ride inspired him to dive deeper into the sport, and soon, he was hooked. Whether it’s pushing through muddy trails or embracing the thrill of downhill runs, Steve finds joy in riding in all kinds of weather and conditions. As a coach, he’s passionate about helping others build the same resilience and skill, all while having fun on two wheels. Recently, Steve added a fat bike to his collection and is excited to explore new terrain and take on even more challenges.
Kristy Truesdale | Coach
License: Colorado League Level 1
About: Kristy’s journey into mountain biking began through her kids, who ride and race in the Colorado High School Cycling League. As a coach, she’s inspired by the dedication and the hard work the kids put into developing their skills. While Kristy finds hills challenging, she’s determined to push herself to get better, building both endurance and strength along the way. She loves riding with the middle school students, seeing firsthand how much mental resilience is involved in the sport—it’s just as much about mindset as it is about physical ability. Kristy truly appreciates the grit and perseverance it takes to improve, and she’s passionate about helping the students grow, both on and off the trail.
Triston Rice | Coach
License: Colorado League Level 1
About: Triston grew up all over the Mountain West and has always felt most at home outside. He was one of the original members of the Casper Area Mountain Bike Youth Riders (CAMBYR), where he got his start racing on a well-loved Cannondale F5 he bought off eBay. Since then, the bikes have changed, but his love for the sport hasn’t. His passion for the outdoors has shown up in all kinds of ways—snowboarding at Hogadon every weekend in high school, joining the Ski and Snowboard Club at the University of Wyoming, and volunteering for trail maintenance at Two Rivers Mountain Bike Park in Springfield, Missouri during grad school. As a coach with WyoX, he’s excited to help young riders build confidence, push their limits, and have fun out on the trails.
